Further detailsWhose memory makes the history books? Whether retracing a fugitive escape from a Soviet POW in 1945, or walking across post-Brexit Europe from his home in Wales to his home in Poland, Michał Iwanowski will bring into focus the often overlooked personal experience and record of historical events.

Peter Jones
Peter will talk in English about his father’s wartime letters from Germany. Jonah Jones was a Welsh artist and writer. Appropriately for the QMH, he was also a pacifist who joined up in 1943 as a non-combatant medical orderly and took part in the Crossing of the Rhine. His letters have been published by Seren Books as “Dear Mona, Letters from a Conscientious Objector”.
